ATTENTION FOODIES: 2011 Epicurean Studio Cooking School Schedule

We're back for another year of delightfully delicious cooking instruction with our executive chef, Jean-Claude Plihon, in the Grand Hyatt DFW's own cooking school, the Epicurean Studio.

Still a first-class experience, the weekend package inclusions have been re-vamped to make it more affordable.  The pricing structure has been reconfigured for solo participation, as well as for two people.

For those of you that may be asking, "What is the Epicurean Studio Cooking School?":
The Epicurean Studio is located in the middle of the hotel’s fully operational main kitchen. Grand Hyatt DFW is the only upscale hotel offering this level of culinary experience anywhere in the United States.

It was created to provide a unique, behind-the-scenes look at a true culinary operation. With hands-on training, preparation of a globally-inspired menu filmed live in our culinary studio, and the opportunity to unwind in our luxurious spa, you can’t find anything like the Epicurean Studio experience anywhere else.

TRAVEL TIPS: Packing Lightly

Photo: David Ahntholz for The New York Times
Hello, travelers!

Just wanted to pass along a link to a web site we discovered via a tweet from @thetripchicks today.

The web site is OneBag.com. It is a comprehensive look at the art of traveling light.  As the author, Doug Dyment, describes in the "About OneBag.com" section of the site, the information is not geared toward any type of traveler in particular, but many people will find the information helpful in packing for their next trip.  I'm all for making traveling easier. How about you?

So, travelers: go forth and pack lightly.

Feel free to suggest your favorite travel sites in the comment section below.

Cheers!

GRIDIRON CHAMPS: Celebrating "The Big Game!" Grand Hyatt DFW Style

Via

The biggest annual sporting event in the United States is quickly approaching (33 days from the creation of this post, to be exact).

Don't make me say it (and for trademark/copyright reasons, I CAN'T say it).  You know what I'm referring to, right?  If you are not from the U.S., or just really don't know what I am referring to, click here

Just so we are clear, this "Super Event" (I think that is okay to say), will be referred to as "The Big Game!" in this post.  The Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex has been preparing for this day since the announcement of the host city selection on May 22, 2007.

If you are planning on attending The Big Game!, or just want to come to the area to enjoy all the festivities surrounding it, then you should check out this handy PDF document we put together

And of course, if you need hotel accommodations, we can help with that too. ;)  We are located approximately 15 miles north of Cowboys Stadium.  Visit our web site to check pricing and availability, or call 1-800-233-1234.  Please note that there is a 3-night minimum stay requirement, starting with a Friday night check-in. If you search outside of those dates, the hotel may appear to be sold out.

So, Green Bay or Pittsburgh?!
Cheers,
